Stefaniak,Lorena Clara Dora (Leinberger) Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Stefaniak left this world while surrounded by her family at home to be back in the loving arms of her dear husband after a lengthy illness. Age 85 years. She was born March 30, 1928 to the late Conrad and Emilie (Gerhauser) Leinberger and has resided here all of her life. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and formerly worked at the Economy Center. On July 22, 1950 she married Arthur V. Stefaniak and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1990. Lorena is survived by one daughter; Linda Betzold, three granddaughters; Robin (Kirk Sharon) Stefaniak, Emma (Marcus) Evans and Summer (Allen Carter) Betzold, fifteen great grandchildren; Kayla, Kirk II, Jazlyn, Angie, Blade, Corianne, Emmarie, Cheri, Megan, Andrew, William, Alex, Thomas, Mariah and Xzavier, three great great grandchildren; Carlos, Aiden and Alejandro Jr., two sisters-in-law; Kay Leinberger and Harriet Leinberger, many nieces, nephews and her wonderful neighbors; Alan and Maggie Kalinowski. Besides her husband Arthur she was preceded in death by one daughter; Sharon, one son-in-law; Andrew Betzold Jr., one granddaughter; Tammie Betzold and three brothers; Harold, Erwin and Edgar Leinberger. Huge accolades to: Dr. Nan, nurses; Judy, Lisa, Jessie, Terry, Tiffany, Carlene, Chris, Ben, the aides: Kathy, Penny, Lynnanne and Aubrey; and the rest of the compassionate staff of McLaren Hospice for the outstanding care and outpouring of kindness! Words can never express the gratitude. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, February 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Rev. LeRoy R. Westphal with private interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 Noon and until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Bay City or the Wishes of the family will be available.
