Lori Jan Jacobs

Lori passed away suddenly Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the age of 52 years. Lori was born on July 10, 1967 in Saginaw to Rex and Janet (Wieck) Robinette Jr. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She graduated from Freeland High School and went on to get an associate's degree from Delta College, a bachelor's degree from SVSU and obtained her master's degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. Lori enjoyed her career at Henry Ford Hospital holding many positions, including her time as a critical care nurse manager. She adored her children and loved cooking and spending time with her family. Lori made everyone around her a better person and her family was everything to her.
Lori is survived by her husband, Shawn D. Jacobs whom she married on October 16, 1999; children, Anthony Wreggelsworth, Joshua Wreggelsworth and Julian Jacobs; father and mother, Rex Jr and Janet Robinette; sister, Lisa (Jerry) Mills; brother, Rex (Michele) Robinette III; nieces and nephews, Gabrielle, Hayden, Ryan, Megan, Payton, Easton, Brandon (Sara), Lee and Erica; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Christine) Jacobs; sisters-in-law, Jamie Jacobs and Jill (Ralph) McDonald and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lori was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Dayle Jacobs.
Funeral and committal service will take place on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Gerald Ferguson with cremation to follow the service. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to the Henry Ford Foundation.
