Lorraine I. Kohn

Lorraine I. Kohn, age 97 years, died peacefully in her sleep on January 6, 2019, at Wellspring Lutheran Services of Frankenmuth. She was born 1921 to the late Ernest and Mary Dansereau. Lorraine was born and lived in Bay City for 90 years of 97 years, residing in Frankenmuth for the past seven years.  She was married to the late Eldon H. Kohn, for 63 years until his passing July 6, 2004. They were members of Corpus Christi Parish- Holy Trinity Church. Lorraine became a member of Blessed Trinity Church while living in Frankenmuth. Both Eldon and Lorraine were members of the Herter Music Organ Club, and the Bay City Civitan Club.
Lorraine is survived by her son Ernest Kohn of Linden, TN, and her daughter, Carolyn (George) Goodchild of West Branch, MI. She has three grandchildren, Chad (Rebecca) Goodchild of Pittsford, NY, Jeffiny (Steve) Shutts of Overland Park, KS and Janae (LeRoy) Newland of Midland, MI and seven great grandchildren. Lorraine was predeceased by brothers, Laurence Dansereau, Ernest Dansereau, Stuart Dansereau, and one sister, Phidalus (Leo) Fournier.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert Kelm with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. The Vigil of the Deceased will take place on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Lorraine will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
