Lorraine passed away peacefully on Monday January 27, 2020 in Petoskey, Michigan with her family by her side at the age of 62. Lorraine was born in Bay City, MI on July 19, 1957 to the late Virgil "Zeke" Gelisse and Lucille M. Gelisse. She was a member of Michigan License Beverage Assoc. (MLBA) and Mud Brothers of the North ATV Off-road Club. Lorraine and Jim were owners of the Whyte Goose Inn in Bay City, MI and she was very active in the community with volunteer and fundraising efforts. Lorraine and Jim were both lifelong residents of Bay City until 2010 when they relocated to Wolverine, MI while keeping their business and a residence in Bay City.

She is survived by her husband James C. Hartley of Wolverine, MI; a son Ryan J. Gelisse (Lee) of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI; a daughter Nicole M. Chervenak (Steve) of Battle Creek, MI; a son Josh J. Hartley of Lakeland, FL; a grandson Jacob D. Buschlen of Battle Creek, MI; a granddaughter Sarah K. Buschlen of Battle Creek, MI; a sister Ruthanne "Annie" (Glenn) Madigan of Bay City, MI; a brother John J. (Sandy) Gelisse of Kawkawlin, MI; a sister Cathi K. (Peter) Casper of Milan, MI; sister-in-law Suzanne Taylor of Essexville, MI; sister-in-law Nancy LaLonde of Bay City, MI; brother-in-law Gary Hartley of Redondo Beach, CA; and a special aunt Sister Yvonne Gelisse of R.S.M. of Ypsilanti, MI; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Lorraine is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Barbara J. Conner of Bay City, MI.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Resident Sisters of Mercy.  Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to McLaren Hospice of Northern Michigan.
