Lorraine E. Luptowski

Luptowski, Lorraine E. Bay City, Michigan Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 13, 2017 at Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home of Bay City. The daughter of the late William and Frances (Thompson) Kraatz was born September 13, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan. Lorraine graduated from Central High School in 1947. She married Lewis John Luptowski on October 22, 1955. They were blessed with two children who survive her, Lynn (Charles) Naylor and Steven (Sara Borchard) Luptowski. She is also survived by her only Grandchild, Brett Naylor, two sisters Joan (Alvin) Andrews, Shirley (Wayne) Malone, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her Brother, William Henry Kraatz. Her husband Lewis J. Luptowski and his family; Alex Luptowski, Louise (Otto) Reetz, Gertrude (Guy) Hardy, Marion (Leo) Kula, Edward (Annabelle) Luptowski, Eleanor (Kendall) Kennedy, Monica Primeau, Rita (Bob) DuRussell. Lorraine enjoyed volunteering at the American Red Cross Great Lakes Bay Chapter, going to movies, modeling, reading and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed going to the fish fry at the Silver Palace in Essexville. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home and McLaren Hospice, for their professionalism in providing a loving, family-like atmosphere during this very difficult time. At the request of Mrs. Luptowski cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with private inurnment in Oakridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home of Bay City or McLaren Hospice.
