Lorraine Marie McNally

Lorraine passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born on April 22, 1938 to the late Edward and Margaret “Blanche” (Jacobs) Corrion in Munger, Michigan. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish in Essexville and was also a member of the Altar Society. She graduated from St. Joseph High School where her strong Catholic values were instilled. She enjoyed bowling, canning, gardening, playing bingo, going on casino trips, hosting card parties, dancing, quilting and camping with family. An integral part of her life was working at many family and friends farms and greenhouses. She was known for being a hard worker. Lorraine faithfully attended her children and grandchildren’s events throughout the years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who established many family traditions like Sunday morning bowling, playing in shaving cream and building gingerbread candy houses at Christmas. She cherished the time spent at family reunions and lunches with high school classmates.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Raymond (Rochelle) McNally of Rockford, Michigan, Margaret (Art) Caligiuri of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Theresa (Larry) Dauer of Kawkawlin, Michigan, Diane (Chris) Yearkey of Essexville, Michigan and Kay (Lee) Shorkey of Bay City, Michigan; grandchildren, Chris McNally, Bri McNally, Paige McNally, Carly (Ethan) Legg, Rachel Dauer, Karl (Fiancé, Bridget) Weber, Michael Dalzell, Haley Shorkey and Carson Shorkey; great grandchild, Reagan McNally; brother, Paul (Sue) Corrion; sister, Lois Englehart; sister-in-law’s, Mary (Mitch) Berger, Ila Corrion, Noreen Corrion and Mary Corrion and brother-in-law, Charles Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Richard McNally; brothers, Joseph, Raymond, William and Robert Corrion and sisters, Elaine Jacobs, Patricia Kunkel, Jane Collins and Janet Corrion.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Nancy, Lindie and Emilee from Americans Home Health and Hospice Care for their compassion and support throughout this difficult time.
