Louanne passed away peacefully Monday, October 7, 2024 at McLaren Bay Region with her family by her side at the age of 70. She was born January 26, 1954 to the late Floyd and Irma (Jacob) Collison in Pigeon, Michigan. Louanne was confirmed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (Bern). She graduated from Laker High school in 1972. On October 21, 1978 she married the love of her life Gene Sattler. Louanne was employed by Compassionate Care Home Health Care for more than 20 years. She was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Louanne enjoyed bowling, sewing and was very social, she loved talking to her friends.
Louanne is survived by her daughter, Beth Sattler; sister-in-law’s, Neila Collison, Pat Worth, Mary McGuire, Madeline Wright and Michelle Jackson and her family; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Louanne is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Sattler; brothers, Frederick Collison and Dale Collison; sister-in-law, Delores Collison; and brother-in-law, Richard Sattler.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at McLaren Bay Region ICU for the outstanding care and compassion they provided Louanne.
At the request of Louanne, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Zach Steinke. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, Louanne’s wishes would like to consider donations to Mt. Olive Lutheran church or to Gift of life.
