Louis L. Middleton

Louis passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Bay Medical Care Facility at the age of 83 years. Louis was born on August 4, 1936 in Bay City to the late Glen and Florence (Couture) Middleton. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Louis married the former Lorraine A. Owczarzak in Bay City on May 25, 1963. Louis proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He worked for 30.1 years at General Motors and retired in 1994. In his spare time he enjoyed metal detecting, sitting in his driveway people watching, reading, riding motorcycles and fishing. He was also a NASCAR fan and loved watching the Detroit Tigers and would always be wearing a Tigers baseball cap.
Louis is survived by his wife, Lorraine; children, Lynnette (Kelly) DeShane, Lance (Diane) and Lorin (Leslie) Middleton; grandchildren, Nikki Rose and Amanda DeShane, Christopher and Jamie Middleton; sister, Mary Wagner and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Buzzard and Roberta DeCatur.
Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Corpus Christ Parish. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with cremation to follow the Mass. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Middleton will be taken to the church to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
