Lowell A. Friebe

Lowell, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 73 years. The son of the late Henry and Florence (Pross) Friebe was born on April 24, 1945 in Kawkawlin, Michigan. He married the former Joyce Schluckbier on July 10, 1965, she passed away on August 1, 2011. Lowell was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. He worked for 35 years for General Motors and retired in 2000. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and gardening.
Surviving are daughters, Lisa and Tom Ross and Brenda and Tim Rivet; son, David Friebe; grandchildren, Brianna (fiancé Cameron Pratt) and Tyler Rivet, Tommy, Nicholas and Abigail Ross; sisters, Era (Lloyd) Eichman and Ruth Kridler; sister-in-law, Karen Friebe and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Friebe and brother-in-law, Steve Kridler.
Funeral and committal services will take place on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Seafert with private interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Lowell will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
