Lucile E. Benford

Benford, Lucile E. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Benford passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Huron Woods Nursing Center. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Edward and Leana (Reidlinger) Miller was born September 5, 1918 in Saginaw, Michigan. Lucile was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, served as past president of Holy Trinity Altar Sodality and enjoyed crafts and gardening. Lucile is survived by one daughter, Carole (Robert) Neveau; one son, Ned (Debbie) Benford; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Lucile was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Benford; one daughter, Judy Weston and one son, Michael Benford. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Huron Woods Nursing Center for their compassion and care. The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the deceased will take place Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Benford will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
