Lucille M. Courier Bay City, Michigan Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Wednesday June 17, 2015 at The Carriage House of Bay City. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Edward and Sophia (Bowens) Van De Rostyne was born May 30, 1925 in Annawan, IL. Mrs. Courier was a member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Campus and she enjoyed her hobbies of crocheting and ceramics. She will be sadly missed and remembered for the kind and compassionate care the she gave to others. Left behind to cherish her memories are seven children; Constance Courier, Allan (Patty) Courier, Sherry Janiskee, Gerard "Jerry" Courier, Mary (Allan) Wood, Gregory Courier and Kimberly (John) Ward, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Ervin D. "Gizz" Courier on June 17, 1979 and one son; Ronald Courier. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday June 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Campus 1008 S Wenona St, Bay City, MI 48706. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased and the Rosary will take place Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Courier will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission or Women's Shelter will be available at the funeral home.
