Luella A. Brenay

Luella passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. Age 82 years. The daughter of the late Carl and Estelle (Sexton) Gehringer was born November 22, 1931 in Kawkawlin, Michigan. Luella retired from the Northern Tavern. She was a member of the Misfits Club. Luella enjoyed spending time with her family and never wanted them to leave when they came to visit, enjoyed sewing, played the accordion in a band and cooking. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Terry, James (Phyllis), David (Katy), Robert (Paula), Ricky (Hollie) Brenay, Melissa (Richard) Emerson, twenty two grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, one sister; Joyce Frizzell, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother; Kenneth Gehringer and one sister; Joan Jones. The family would like extend a special thank you to McLaren Hospice, especially Lisa, Chris and Tiffany for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during her illness. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday, October 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with cremation following. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
