Luella M. Hillert

Hillert, Luella M. Bay City, Michigan Luella passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 98 years. The daughter of the late Frederic and Helen (Kerkau) Wuepper was born May 13, 1917 in Bay City. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Luella enjoyed knitting, sewing and playing cards with her friends. She is survived by her cousins and their families; Irene Edwards, Shirley Nutter and Gladys Bair, Tim and Debbie Nutter, Jim and Nancy Kasemeyer, Randy and Mary Kasemeyer, Laurie and Kevin Kosnarska, Karin and Rudolph Youngblood, Blair and Mary Hughes, Mort and Michelle Hyslop, her special friends; John Ruterbusch and Julie Corrion. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Hillert whom she married September 30, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2000. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
