Burel, Luke V. James Shelby, Michigan Our loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and grandson passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his residence in Shelby, Michigan. Age 26 years. Luke was born on May 29th, 1991 in Saginaw, Michigan to his parents Keith and Julienne Miles. While growing from a child into a young man, Luke, attended the Bay City Public Schools. He graduated from Bay City Central High School in 2009. He enjoyed concerts, animals, and "hanging out and being cool" with his close friends by his side. He was an avid disc golfer and had the biggest heart ever. Luke's love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. He was always up for anything and everything and always the life of the party. Left to cherish his memories are his mother and father, Julienne and Keith Miles; his life giving father, Steven Strezlecki; one brother, Zechariah (Malea Jiles) Burel; Two nephews, Benjamin Burnett and Austin Ramsey; special friend, Kylee DeMeester; grandparents, James and Shirley Burel and Clara Strezlecki; Continued to be loved by aunts, Jamie Miller, Jackie (Mike) Willett, Sherrie (Ken) Lingaur, Jennifer (Joe) LaVake, and Sheri Strezlecki; cousins, Michael, Becca, Alex, Lena, Justine, Grant, David, Joel, Emma, Aaron, Joey, Mark, Derek, and many great-cousins; and his special pet gecko, Liam. Luke was met at heavens gates by his grandmother, Diane Gilman; great grandmother, Cora Louise Beebe; grandparents, Paul and Donna Miles; uncle, Dale Miller; and grandfather Tom Strezlecki. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at All Saints Parish - St. Boniface Church at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Stephen Fillion. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. to visit and share memories of Luke with one another.
