Lyle J. Barber Sr.

Barber, Lyle J. Sr. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Barber passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Age 73 years. He was born January 24, 1938 in Essexville, Michigan and has lived in Bay County all of his life. He was a charter member of the Stromberg Car Club, enjoyed fishing, old cars and motorcycles. He is survived by his wife Katherine Barber, two children; Lyle Jr. and Tracie Barber of Auburn and Kathy Woods of Bay City, two step children; Gary and Marilyn Jewell of McMillan, Michigan and Louisa (Tina) and Charles Shannon of Everett, Michigan, six grandchildren; Krista, Nicole, Laura, Gene, Tim and Jacob, five great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law; Marilyn (Dick) Charbonneau, his twin brother and two sisters-in-law; Lynn (Velma) Barber and Virginia Barber and many nieces and nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by his wife; Valerie Barber, his parents; Floyd and Ada (McMann) Barber and one brother; Terry Barber. The Family will receive visitors on Tuesday March 29, 2011 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. following the visitation cremation will take place at the Sunset Valley Crematory. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
