Lyle A. Rosecrans Jr.

Rosecrans, Lyle A. Jr. Bay City, Michigan Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Wednesday afternoon September 23, 2015 at St. Mary's of Michigan. Age 75 years. The son of the late Lyle A. and Hazel (Bird) Rosecrans Sr. was born October 22, 1939 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Lyle was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a well known and respected estimator in the construction industry. He had a love for music and most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family and especially his granddaughters. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 53 years the former Susan K. Pickelman whom he married on November 23, 1961 and she survives his passing along with one son and daughter-in-law; Dr. Gregory and Kelly Rosecrans of Bay City, two granddaughters; Claire and Charlotte Rosecrans, one sister and brother-in-law; Phillis and John Campbell, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Dale and Sharon Pickelman of Auburn, Jim and Linda Pickelman of Virginia and Russell Pickelman of Auburn and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Lyle and Hazel he was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; Kathy Piclelman and Sharon and Jim Lorenz. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt with private inurnment in Home Cemetery. At the request of Mr. Rosecrans cremation has taken place. The family will be present at the church on Thursday to receive visitors from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to Zion Lutheran Church Music Fund.
