M. Jill Conn

Mary "Jill" (Dzurka) Conn, 68, of Bay City, MI was called home to be with her Lord and Savior after a life-long battle of illnesses on Feb. 28, 2018. She was born on Feb. 17, 1950 to Thomas and Patricia (Gentle) Dzurka. She graduated from West Catholic Central High School in 1968.
Jill was the heart of her home and spent many years taking care of her family. While raising her children, she worked in retail and as a bookkeeper at Keit's Flowers. She was an avid school volunteer and former member of the K of C #414 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church - St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, trips to the dollar store with her mom, and baking prize-winning apple pies. She was known for always giving more than she had.
Surviving besides her mother, Patricia, are two loving daughters and their spouses, Sara (Brian) Scherzer and Jody (David) Bleicher. Also left to cherish her memory are 7 grandchildren, Jayna, Lindy, Robyn and Holly Scherzer and Michael, Matthew, and Marissa Bleicher; 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Jackie DeLorge, Judy (Gary) Schulz, Jane Adams, Jeff (Kathy) Dzurka, Jon (Von) Dzurka; and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren whom she adored. In heaven, she'll be reunited with loved ones who preceded her in death, her son Benjamin David Conn; father Thomas Dzurka; brother Joseph Dzurka; sister Joyce Havican and brother-in-law Stan DeLorge.
Funeral Liturgy and Committal will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with private interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, March, 2nd from 4-8 p.m. Ms. Conn will be taken to church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the American Diabetes Association. Special thanks to her dear friends and compassionate staff at Close to Home Raymond for her care. James 1:12 "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him."
