Margaret Dodge

DODGE, Margaret of Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Dodge passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Brian's House, age 87 years. She was born August 23, 2010 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 367, enjoyed bowling, shuffleboard, deer hunting and fishing. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: William and Marion Dodge of Prudenville, MI, James and Sheila Dodge of Bay City and Michael Dodge of Grand Rapids, MI; fourteen grandchildren: Bill, Peter, Sarah, Angela, Liza, Dominic, Nicholas, Tanya, Christine, Rachael, Matthew, Mindy, Natalie and Chelsey; 28 great grandchildren: Ryan, Rebecca, Billy, Emily, Gage, Gabriel, Andrea, Alex, John, Sophia, Roxie, Zach, Skyler, Gabrielle, Elijah, Emma, Reese, Allen, Isabelle, Carter, Kameryn, Brianna, Joe, Jessica, Megan, Abby, Margaret and Addison; six great great grandchildren: Shay, Corbin, Mekhaela, Jack, Alanna and Isac; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Donald and Carol Dodge and Helen Dodge all of Bay City; her god children, Cathy and Peggy and many nieces and nephews. On May 24, 1941 she married Clifford L. Dodge and he preceded her in death on August 3, 2005. Margaret was also predeceased by her father, William Streu and her mother and step father, Hazel (Jean) and Meridith Hamilton; one great great grandson, Joshua; four brothers-in-law: Oliver, Harold, Russell and Jack Dodge and one sister-in-law, Virginia Kennedy. The Dodge family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Carriage House and Brian's House for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Mrs. Dodge during her stay with them. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc 201 W. Midland St. Bay City. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel R. Hester with private Inurnment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
