Margaret M. Emmendorfer

Margaret passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Adira Nursing & Rehab in Saginaw. Age 95 years. She was born on July 13, 1929 in Covington, LA to Frank and Katherine (Giesken) Vincke. Margaret married Cleo G. Emmendorfer on May 14, 1949 in Maple Grove, MI and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2007. She was a member of Mary of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Altar Society, League of Catholic Women and VFW Ladies Auxiliary in St. Charles. Margaret enjoyed square dancing, knitting, baking, playing cards, camping, reading and time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

 Surviving are six favorite handsome sons and spouses, George, Jay (Pat), Dennis (Carol), David, Bernie, and Brian (Karen) and four favorite beautiful daughters and their spouses, Joyce Brigham, Kris (Fred) Hilzinger, Sharon (Rick) Neetz, and Marjorie (Jeff) Demo;18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ilda Vincke; Grace Emmendorfer and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Harry Brigham, Jr., eight sisters, Sisters Genevieve, Beatrice, Catherine and Josephine Vincke O.S.B.; Rosemary Klaus, Wilhelmina Eickholt, Theresa Mahoney and Agnes Otte; four brothers, Henry and Herman Vincke, Hank and Joe Otte; three brothers-in-law, Alfred Klaus, Fred Eickholt and Don Mahoney; three sisters-in-law, Faye Vincke, Margaret Otte, and Magdaline Otte.

 Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 708 Sanderson St., St. Charles. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Fr. Robert Kelm and Deacon Rick Warner will officiate. Per Margaret's wishes of "flowers are for the living and not for the dead" please consider a memorial to the Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church or the St. Charles District Library.
