Margaret M. Kerr

Mrs. Margaret Marie Kerr, of Bay City, passed away on Thursday morning, March 24, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region, age 68. She was born on May 13, 1947 in Bay City. Margaret was a graduate of T.L. Handy High School, class of 1965. She retired in 2002 from Bay City Chevrolet after 32 years of loyal service. Margaret was also a volunteer for many years in the gift shop at McLaren Bay Region. She enjoyed playing cards and camping. Most of all, Margaret cherished her family and friends, and loved spending time with her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
On December 10, 1982 Margaret married Donald E. Kerr and he survives her passing along with her three children, Connie (Dave) Rochow of Bay City, William (Amy) Clingaman of Shields and Tammy (Ken Leddy) Mularz of Midland; three step-children, Angela Pitcher, Alan Kerr and Andrew Kerr; her grandchildren, Brian Knapp, Kristie Knapp, Dalayne Ludwig, Jessica Herek and Julie Herek; her great-granddaughter, Paige Lambert; a sister, Patricia Jane; a brother, Norbert Jacobs, Jr.; several brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Sonny. Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Confer, Sr.; her mother, Dorothy (Morse) Jacobs; step-father, Norbert Jacobs, Sr.; and a brother, Kenneth Confer, Jr.
A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. led by Mr. Robert O'Dell. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
