Margaret A. Ott

Mrs. Ott passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Huron Woods Nursing Center. Age 98 Years. The daughter of the late James and Sofia (Bedell) Eckinger was born May 7, 1920 in Kawkawlin, Michigan. Mrs. Ott was the youngest of ten children, she enjoyed, gardening and taking care of her grandchildren.

Mrs. Ott is survived by her two children, Linda Gilbert and Wayne (Penny) Ott; four grandchildren, Frank (Chantal) Gilbert, Derek Ott, Amber Ott and Briton Ott; five great grandchildren, Tyler, Casey, Ryan, Christopher and Carrie Gilbert and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Ott; daughter, Bonnie Ott and nine brothers and sisters.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Huron Woods Nursing Center and McLaren Hospice for their compassion and care.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Seafert with private interment following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church.
