Marguerite "Peg" Watson

Mrs. Watson passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her residence at the age of 91 years. The daughter of the late Moses and Margaret (Hughes) Jones was born October 23, 1920 in Swansea, South Wales Great Britain. Peg retired from Monitor Lanes. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Bay City Bowling Hall of Fame. She is survived by her husband; Duane R. "Buck" Watson whom she married April 28, 1938. Also surviving are four loving grandchildren; John Duane (Jamie) Green, Cathy (John) Gessendorf, Caren (Jeffrey) Hoelker all of Cincinnati, OH and Timothy (Shari) Green of St. Cloud, FL, thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, two brothers: Charles S. (Betty) Jones of Essexville, MI and William A. (Julia) Jones of Massachusetts and Graying, MI, two sisters: Betty (Gerry) Daley of Lansing, MI and Florida and Kathleen (Erwin) Leinberger of Auburn, MI. In addition to her loving parents she was also preceded in death by her beautiful daughter; Barbara Jeanne Green, one sister; Lillian Jones Timoney, two brothers; Robert H. Jones and Gilbert M. Jones. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Susan Platt with private interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
