Mrs. Schulz passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 72 years. The daughter of the late Chester and Gladys (Hillman) Pearce was born December 18, 1945 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Schulz was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was retired from Kroger as a cashier where she was fondly known as the "Kroger Lady" to many; she was dedicated to her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to attend all the activities they participated in. Margy was truly a selfless person who always put the needs of others first.

Mrs. Schulz is survived by her husband of 25 years, James Schulz; one daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Spyhalski; one son, William Layle; one step daughter, April Crouch; six grandchildren, Andrew (Katie) Spyhalski, Daniel Spyhalski, Maria Spyhalski, Julie Spyhalski and her fiance, Austin Russell, Grant Layle and Alan Layle; two step grandchildren, Jonathon and Kyra; one great grandson, Kenny Spyhalski; three sisters, Jean Suppes, Carole Basner and Charlotte (Howard) Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Schulz was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Layle; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Layle; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Schramm with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
