Marie Louise Uhlmann

Mrs. Marie Louise Uhlmann, of Essexville, passed early Friday morning February 11, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Livonia, Michigan. Age 92 years. She was born May 6, 1918 in Bay City to the late Samuel & Dora (Springer) Chevalier. On January 28, 1939 Marie married Harold P. Uhlmann in Visitation Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1993. Marie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and was formerly employed at Mercy Hospital as an LPN. Marie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Dorothy and Michael Gill of Livonia, two grandchildren; Lisa and Alexander Grabowski of Scarsdale, NY and Megan Gill of Livonia, two great grandchildren; Alexander William and Marie Elizabeth Grabowski, one brother and sister-in-law; Edward and Jacklene Chevalier of Bay City, one sister; Marlene Coons of Bay City and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Samuel and Dora, one sister and brother-in-law; Dorothy and Roy Jean and two brothers and two sisters-in-law; Gerald and Wilma Chevalier and Vincent and Mildred Chevalier. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m.. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Uhlmann will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. Joseph Catholic Church or the donor's favorite charity will be available at the funeral home.
