Marie Doris Ziegler

Marie Doris Ziegler passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Barton Woods Assisted Living at the age of 87 after a long battle with dementia. Marie was born on August 23, 1936 to the late Edward and Margarette (Weisenbaugh) Weber. On June 6, 1959, Marie married Kenneth Ziegler, whom preceded her in death. Marie was a graduate of Arthur Hill. She was a wonderful mother and “aunt” to many. She enjoyed volunteering for many years at Thrivent Financial, enjoyed traveling, playing cards, board games and the company of her family and friends.

Marie is survived by her two sons, Scott (Michele) Ziegler and Dale (Therese) Ziegler; granddaughters, Lauren Zimmerman and Sarah Bishop; two great grandchildren, Paisley and Landon; one brother, Arthur Weber; two sisters-in-law, Eileen Weber and Lois Toeppner, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey; two brothers, Billie Weber and Edward Weber; one sister, Rosealee and two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Charbonneau and Peggy Weber.

Funeral and Committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Dan Stoneback. Visitation will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for Heart to Heart Hospice will be available at the funeral home.
