Marilyn went peacefully home to be with her Savior on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 86. She was born on January 29, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Charles and Marguerite (Dixon) Harrison. She was a member of Midland Baptist Church. She was a devoted animal lover and she considered her cats to be like children. Marilyn was spunky and sassy and would always tell it like it was. She was a passionate prayer warrior and prayed faithfully for her children and grandchildren all by name each day, even on her final days here on earth.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gary Aldrich, whom she married on October 16, 1992. They have spent so many wonderful years together, creating memories that will last forever. She is also survived by her children: Craig (Tracey) Rancour, Michelle (David) Brissette, Yvette (Art) Keyser, Melissa (Jeff) Gross, and Brian Fortin; stepchildren: Elaine Aldrich, Cindy (Chad) Nemecek, and William (Colette) Aldrich; grandchildren: Brandon, Justin, Jordan, Charlotte, Alyssa, Benjamin, Jacob, Levi, Harrison, Darla, Olivia, Elisha, Elijah, and Jonah; great-grandchildren: Preston, Theodore, Peyton, Adelaide, Eloise, Kashton, Charlie, Aurora, and Maxwell; sister: Laurel Higgins; as well as her cats: Honeybunch, Peanut, and Minnie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Danielle and sister, Sandra Lechner.
The family of Marilyn would like to extend a very special thank you to cousin, Dr. Jim LaBerge for all of his advice and help throughout this difficult journey. They would also like to extend a thank you to the hospice nurses from Promedica/Heartland Healthcare. Last, but certainly not least, they are so grateful that Marilyn has had Gary there by her side throughout all of this. He is the most selfless caretaker.
