Jay, Marjorie M.Bay City, MichiganMrs. Jay passed away early Sunday morning, January 3, 2010 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Age 87 years. She was born January 8, 1922 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Dorcas Circle, the Ladies Quilting Group and enjoyed making crafts.She is survived by one step son; Gary and Shelly Jay of Bay City, one step granddaughter; Laurie Jay, one sister-in-law; Jackie Christiansen, three nieces; Cathy and George McFarland, Terrie and Dan DeWaele all of Bay City, Mary and Tim Tompkins of Rhodes, one nephew; John and Kirsten Christiansen of Warren, her great nieces and nephews; Stephanie, Emily, Susan, Elizabeth, Christopher, Benjamin, John, Quinten, Meghan, Brittany, Kelsey, Hayley and her great great nephew; Joseph. On July 1, 1972 she married Donald Jay and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1993. She was also predeceased by her parents; Olaf and Florence (Dollard) Christiansen and one brother; Roy Christiansen.A Memorial Service will take place Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Carol M. Blair-Bouse with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. At the request of Mrs. Jay cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. The family will be present at the church on Friday to receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for Christ United Methodist Church will be available at the funeral home. www. gephartfuneralhome.
