Marjory A. Kerr

Marjory Ann Kerr, 82, Midland (formerly of Bay City), passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. Marge was born September 1, 1927 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Herman and Florence (Kingsley) Daeschlein. On July 25, 1952, she married Joseph F. Kerr, who preceded her in death on November 1, 1986. Marge was employed for many years at Simmons Jewelers in downtown Bay City. She is survived by four children, Joe (Nancy) of Grand Blanc, John (Bill Kelleher) of Evanston, IL, Jan (John) Szegda of Midland, and Jeff (Shaun Pirrera) of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren, Joseph and Graceson Kerr, sisters-in-law Bev Daeschlein and Judy (Bill) Schabel and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Albert Daeschlein, Martha Beagle, Mata Rhule, Katherine MacNeil, and Glenn Daeschlein.Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 11AM at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 5PM to 9PM and on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland.
