Michalak, Mark A. Bay City, Michigan Mark passed away early Tuesday morning May 31, 2011 at Brian's House. Age 55 years. The son of Caroline (Kolat) and the late Daniel Michalak was born March 24, 1956 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. He attended St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, he served with the United States Marines Reserve and was an avid golfer. Mark was formerly employed at St. Mary's Hospital as a Register Nurse, Hospice Home Care and R.T.A.. Mark will be sadly missed by many of his patients as he went above and beyond the call of duty for them and was considered an Awesome Nurse by many. He is survived by his mother; Caroline Bay City, one brother and sister-in-law; Paul and Christine Michalak of Mackinaw City, two sisters and one brother-in-law; Barbara and James Baughman of TX and Linda Michalak of Bay City and her fiancée Joseph Wisniewski, three step daughters; Erica Echartea, Renee Steckert and Angela Echartea, his nieces and nephews; Meghan Michalak, Caryn Painter, Kelly Michalak, Kayla and Crislyn Grzegorczyk and Brian and Rachel Baughman and his special friend; Rebekah Salt. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary. At the request of Mark cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. The family will be present at the church on Friday to receive visitors from 9:30 a.m. and until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for St. Stanislaus Parish, Brian's House or the Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
