Mark T. O'Farrell

Mark passed away on August 9, 2018 at the age of 47 years old.  He was the son of Jack and Lois O'Farrell Sr.  He was born on October 6, 1970 in Bay City, MI.  Mark graduated from T.L. Handy High School, Grand Valley State University and served in the National Guard.  Most recently Mark resided in Okemos, MI and worked for Internal Affairs at the Department of Corrections.  Prior to that Mark worked for several years as a K-9 Officer for the Ingham County Sheriff's Department.   Mark's giving heart and warm smile will be missed by all.

Left to cherish Mark's memories is his daughter Hannah O'Farrell.  Also Mark leaves behind a special love Sibylle Thornton (Christian, Jesse and Lukas), his mother Lois O'Farrell, brothers and sisters; Jack (Shelly) O'Farrell Jr., Bob (Phylis) O'Farrell, Keith (Patty) O'Farrell, Noel O'Farrell, Paul O'Farrell, Karen (Tim) Tumblin, Terry (Christine) O'Farrell, Karry (Jay) Steele.  Mark leaves behind many special nieces and nephews that loved him dearly, as well as his beloved dog, Bear.  He is preceded in death by his father Jack O'Farrell Sr.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. followed by military honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie with Committal following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
