Marlene Marie Arnott

Marlene passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at her residence at the age of 79. She was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on March 25, 1939 to the late Ervin and Irene (Schave) Collison. She married Leslie Arnott on May 30, 1959 and he passed away on March 23, 1992. Marlene was a Jane of all trades, knitting, crocheting and doing upholstery work. She enjoyed making hats for newborns for the hospitals and mittens and schals for dialysis patients.
Marlene is survived by her children, Julia Bower, Danny (Audrey) Arnott, Deborah (Mike) McKinnon and Pamela (Ed) Widdifield; grandchildren, Melissa, Candace, Daniele, Courtney, Zach, Nick, Leslie, Charlie and Jon; sixteen great grandchildren; special friend Don Dammer; sisters-in-law, Cindy Bergquist, Beverly McFarland and Chris Collison; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Collison; twin sister, Marilyn Smith and son-in-law, Richard Bower
Funeral and committal services will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with private burial in Marquardt Cemetery in Port Hope, Michigan. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
