Our beloved wife, mother and guiding star passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 after a hard fought year of illness. Marlene was born December 18, 1936 in Kawkawlin on her family farm and resided there the rest of her days.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Lyle whom she married on August 31, 1963; her children, Marcia McNally of Bay City and Karen and Bill Middleton of Sterling Heights. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Norma Rapp, Rose McNally, Jan Harbin and Leona Eisenman, also sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ron and Lynn McNally and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Gregory and Bruce, her parents George and Alice (Frank) Eisenman and Arthur and Esther McNally. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Bauer and Dolores Bleck; brother, Harlan Eisenman; brothers-in-law, Robert McNally and Ric Harbin. Besides her own children she mothered her many nieces, nephews and anyone who needed her - her door was always open. She was the family matriarch and historian plus the Valedictorian of the T.L. Handy High School class of 1954. In addition she was a faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Kawkawlin and worked for many years on the Monitor Township election boards. Marlene enjoyed world relief sewing, traveling and caring for others. Her bright light will be missed by many.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Apostolic Christian Church. Officiating will be the clergy of the church with Committal following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for HarvestCall of Bay City (World Relief) or Family Wishes will be available at the funeral home.
