Martha Erika Fox

Erika passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Bay Medical Care Facility at the age of 90 years. She was born in Leipzig, Germany on March 17, 1929 to the late Paul and Helene (Drechsler) Dietrich. She met Gene Fox and married him in Frankfurt, Germany in 1949. She then came to the United States to live her life in Bay City and became a US citizen in 1955. Together they adopted two children. Erika suffered from dementia for the last 5 years and is finally at peace. She loved her home and gardens. She had a great love of music and listening to her favorites until the end. She was also a talented artist and has beautiful paintings to remember her by.
Erika is survived by her daughter, Juliana (Kevin) Coffey; grandchildren, Nicholas Fox, Shane Belknap and Samantha Belknap; great grandson, Noah Sitnic. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Erik Fox.
At the request of Erika, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
