Martha (Peil) Wood

Wood, Martha (Peil) Haslett, Michigan Mrs. Wood passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Eaton County Palliative Care in Charlotte, Michigan. Age 96 years. The daughter of the late Gottfried and Amelia (Oblander) Peil was born September 17, 1918 in Bay City, Michigan. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in East Lansing, Michigan. Enjoyed making crafts, reading books and gardening. Left behind to cherish her memory is one daughter; Lynne A. Wood. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Daniel M. Wood, her sisters; Molly Bender,Elizabeth Reisig, Katie Schneider, Lydia Stricker, Bertha Miller, Edna Inman and Mary Browning. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
