Martin Jude Lamblin Sr.

Born in Saginaw, Michigan, Martin Jude Lamblin Sr. passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Martin was a beloved partner, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend who lived as a servant to everyone around him. His infectious love and laughter filled every room he entered, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His love for family, life, God, and country was unparalleled.

A proud 1979 graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Martin carried the lessons of his youth throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and love for his family and community. His dedication to service, family, and work was unwavering, as shown by his service in the Army and National Guard and his 25+ years as a Maintenance Manager at Bay Town Apartments.

Martin was born to Albert Sr. and Gloria Lamblin, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Kathy Woods, who stood faithfully by his side over the years; his three children, Kristina Lutze (Brian), Melissa Grove (Daniel), and Martin Lamblin Jr. (Marsha); and his three grandchildren, Tyler Lamblin, Hayden, and Bryden Grove.

He will be deeply missed by his surviving siblings: Rita Grabowski (Joe), Albert Lamblin (Cathy), Mary King (Rex), Gloria Hartman, Theresa Warden (Rodney), John Lamblin (Joyce), and Janice Grigsby (Kevin). Martin is reunited in peace with his brothers, Michael and Daniel, who preceded him in passing. Additionally, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will fondly remember him.

Martin cherished time spent with family and friends, always ensuring they were cared for and enjoying quality moments together. A man of many talents, he loved building and fixing things, riding his moped, firing guns, and lending a hand to anyone in need.

His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

To honor Martin Jude Lamblin Sr.’s life, a viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. A service with military honors will follow on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM. The doors will open to immediate family an hour before the service at Gephart Funeral Home, 201 W. Midland St., Bay City, Michigan 48706.

Following the funeral service, a burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, 7475 E. Holland Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601.

After the burial, family and friends are invited to join his loved ones at Golden Corral, 4409 Bay Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Guests are asked to cover their own meals.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Martin’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans.
