Mr. Appold passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Brian's House at the age of 87 years. The son of the late Carl and Mary (Feinauer) Appold was born in Bay City on August 2, 1932. Marvin married the former Nancy Behrmann and were married for 63 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Marvin served his country in the United States Navy for four years and retired as an iron worker with Local 25. After retiring he became a part-time farmer. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, farm auctions and coffee club at McDonalds. His favorite part of his life was being with his grandsons.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Kimberly (Bryan) Clay, Timothy Appold and Warren "Whitey" (Angela) Appold; grandsons, Weston Appold and Rylan (fiancée Rachel Burk) Appold; sister, Susan (Raymond) Fick; sister-in-law, Deloris Appold; brothers-in-law, William (Mary Jo) Behrmann, Oscar (Pat) Behrmann and Jim Behrmann and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Luella Appold and brother, William "Bill" Appold.
Private graveside service will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to St. Paul Lutheran Church Ministry Center, Brian's House or the donors favorite charity.
