Neumeyer, Marvin Edwin "Marv" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Neumeyer passed away Saturday evening December 29, 2012 at The Niche Aging Center in Bay City. Age 87 years. He was born November 23, 1925 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Marv was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served as the Chairman of the Congregation, as an Elder and a charter member of St. Paul Men's Club. He served his community in many capacities, serving as Bay County Commissioner from 1981 to 1988, as the Supervisor of Monitor Township and was active in many local organizations. Mr. Neumeyer proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired as sales manager of Peet Packing Company in Bay City and Chesaning for over forty years. On July 10, 1948 he married his wife of sixty four years the former Irene C. Ittner and she survives his passing along with one daughter and son-in-law; Sandra M. and Tom Foley of Palm City, FL, two sons and three daughters-in-law; Timothy C. and Debra Neumeyer of Bay City and Daniel J. and Patricia Neumeyer of Columbus, OH and Deborah Neumeyer of Ft. Wayne, IN, six grandchildren; Zachary, Christopher, Kristina, Kimberly, Rachel and Caleb Neumeyer, his sisters, brother and brothers-in-law; Anita Herron of Rye, New York, Alvera Selle of Bay City, Merlin Neumeyer of Naples, FL, Shirley (Earl) Wachtel of San Jose, CA, Donna (Roy)Schmidt of Bay City, three sisters-in-law; Lorrie Neumeyer, Marie Wegener and Lorna Ittner all of Bay City, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Edwin and Hedwig (Walter) Neumeyer, one son; William E. Neumeyer and one brother; Lloyd Neumeyer. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Mr. Neumeyer will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 1:00 p.m. and until the time of service.
