Marvin R. Pretzer

Marvin passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Symphony of Tri Cities at the age of 98 years. Marvin was born in Bay City on July 21, 1922 to the late Henry and Edna (Kruth) Pretzer. Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Army in WWII in the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He was honorably discharged with five Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church and worked at Autolite and Graphic Metals. In his spare time he loved gardening, singing, playing guitars and keyboards.
Marvin is survived by his children, Gary Pretzer and Wendy (Chuck) Dobson; step children, Kathy (Jack) Harrison, Brenda (David) Garver, Laurie and John Burke; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and brother, Hilbert Pretzer. Marvin was preceded in death by his wives, Elaine and Hazel and brother, Maylin.
At the request of Marvin cremation has taken place, a graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
