Marvin G. Vogtmann Bay City, Michigan Mr. Marvin G. Vogtmann died at home on Friday, May 16, 2014 under hospice care. He was born on September 20, 1924 to George & Alfrieda (Krieger) Vogtmann in Bay City. He retired as a machinist from RWC, Inc. in 1989. Marvin's first wife, Evangeline (Kube) died on March 5, 1972. He is survived by Janet (Roth) Vogtmann, whom he married in June of 1973. Survivors also include one brother, Earl (LuAnn) and sisters-in-law, Phyliss Vogtmann and Marilyn (Walter) Arnold. Also surviving are numerous nieces & nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Marvin was also predeceased by siblings Kenneth Vogtmann and Lois Hoerlein. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marvin's life will take place at Zion Lutheran Church on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt. The family will receive visitors at church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial cards for Zion's Repair & Rejoice Fund, Heifer International or the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission will be available at Zion.
