Mary Rita Beauvais

Mrs. Mary Rita Beauvais, of Bay City, passed away early Saturday morning, June 11, 2016 at Huron Woods Nursing Home, age 97. The daughter of the late Edgar and Angeline (Jeczmionka) Rich, she was born on August 26, 1918 in Detroit. Mary was a longtime, active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was currently a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and was a Michigan Football fan. Most of all, Mary was an excellent mother and she truly lived her life for her children and grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children, Mary (Ed) Bartoszek, Bill Beauvais, Bob (Joan) Beauvais, Patti (Duane Kemmer) Witzke and Paul (Kathy) Beauvais; her 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Rene Beauvais in 1988; a son, David Beauvais in 2002; five brothers, Jim, Dick, Jack, Tom and George Rich; a her sister, Virginia Rich.
The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1005 Third St. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with the Rite of Committal following at St. Patrick Mausoleum. Mrs. Beauvais will lie instate at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
