DOMBROWSKI, Mary Lou of Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Dombrowski passed away Sunday morning January 24, 2010 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit with her family by her side, age 63. She was born December 7, 1946 in Bay City to the late Francis & Noreen (Cole) Fredenburg. Mary Lou was also preceded in death by an infant son, Chad Dombrowski; her father-in-law, Fred Dombrowski; and a nephew, Mark Negro. She was a 1964 graduate of St. James High School and attended Central Michigan University. On October 12, 1968 Mary Lou married Edward Dombrowski at St. Vincent de Paul Church and he survives her along with their two daughters: Amy (Tom) Sharrar of Mt. Pleasant and Sara (P.J.) Engelberts of Bay City; four grandchildren: Cole Sharrar, Drew Sharrar, Ryann Engelberts and Jake Engelberts; a brother, Paul (Beth) Fredenburg and a sister, Jane (Charlie) Negro, both of Oscoda; a sister-in-law, JoAnne (Bill) Johnston of Auburn; an uncle, Mendell Cole of Bay City; as well as several special nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was employed by Bangor Twp. Schools for 20 years, the last 15 of which she was the secretary at Bangor West Elementary. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Mary Lou's family was the center of her life. She always viewed time spent with her children and grandchildren as her best days especially when they all enjoyed summer weekends together at the family cottage in Tawas, where she had gone as a child with her parents, brother and sister. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with interment following in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Friday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the deceased will take place Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Dombrowski will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
