Mrs. Mary Lou Habermehl, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Brian's House. Age 78 years. The daughter of the late Ralph R. and Geraldine E. (Ainge) O' Brien, she was born August 31, 1932 in Bay City. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Habermehl retired from Financial Edge Credit Union. She is survived by three sons: Ric (Jodi) Glover of Montana, Robert (Deb) Glover of Essexville and Randy Glover of Bay City, three step-sons: Stuart (Beth) Habermehl of Colorado, Brett (Lisa) Habermehl of Cadillac and Scott (Carol) Habermehl of Sarasota, Florida, ten grandchildren, three step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three sisters; Jane (Jim) Russell, Bonnie (Chuck) Graves and Pat Pierson, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Dale L. Habermehl on December 27, 2006, two grandchildren; Mary Lynn and Jillian Rose, two brothers; Gordon and Bill O'Brien, and one brother-in-law; Hayden Pierson. The family of Mrs. Habermehl would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of 3 East at Bay Regional Medical Center and the staff of Brian's House for the kind and compassionate care their loved one received during her time of need. The funeral service will take place Saturday July 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Debbie Thomas with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for wishes of the family will be available at the church.
