Mary Lou Hoffman

Mary Lou passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility at the age of 86. The daughter of the late Norbert and Dorothy Barcia was born June 20, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan. Mary Lou was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was an avid reader and enjoyed coloring books and crossword puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and having them near her.

Mary Lou is survived by her Husband, William A. Hoffman Jr.; one son, John (Mary Ann) Hoffman and their children, Ashley and Julia; two daughters, Jonie Hoffman and Lori Hoffman and her children, Jeffrey and Stephanie; one brother, Larry (Mary) Marshall; brother-in-law, Dale Hoffman; two sisters-in-law, Sue McHenry and Darla Verhague and many other nieces, nephews and good friends. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Hoffman and William Hoffman III and one brother, Casey Marshall.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Garcia with private inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital will be available at the funeral home.
