Mary H Stevens

Mrs. Mary H Stevens, of Edwardsville, Illinois, formerly of Bay City and Midland, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in Saginaw due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident, age 65. She was born February 14, 1948 in Bay City. Mary grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School in 1966. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Art History and a master's degree in Public Administration. Mary retired as the Fiscal Officer for the Lewis & Clark Library System in Edwardsville. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. On June 8, 1968 Mary married William N. Stevens and he survives her along with a sister-in-law, Judy (Conrad) Harvey of Crawfordsville, IN; and a brother-in-law, David (Susan) Stevens of Katy, TX. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Stub Struble; her mother, Alice (Rowley) Struble; and her step-mother, Beatrice Struble. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. J.D. Landis of the First United Methodist Church of Midland. Inurnment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
