Melissa A. Homminga

Melissa peacefully passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Bay Shores Nursing Home with her family by her side at the age of 63. She was born October 27, 1960 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Walter and Lois (Toner) Fick. Melissa loved going to the family farm and traveling.

Melissa is survived by her daughter, April Homminga; son, Michael Homminga; grandson, Zackary Johnson; and three brothers, Matthew Fick, Kevin Fick and Rodney Fick; and friend, Todd Ward. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Homminga.

At the request of Melissa, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to wishes of the family.
