Gillespie, Mercy G. Bay City, Michigan Mercy Gillespie passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Plainview Assisted Living. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late Armando and Josephine (Garcia) DeLao was born April 4, 1934 in Rochester, Michigan. Mercy Gillespie was retired from Franks Nursery. She was a past member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 367 female auxiliary where she held the title College of Regents, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, dancing, floral designs and loved her collection of jewelry. Mercy Gillespie is survived by her three children, Brenda McEachern (Zip Zimmerman), Ken (Lauri) McEachern and Colleen Taylor; one granddaughter, Kristen (Adam) Beccue; four great grandchildren, Makayla, Chase, Isabella and Jack; her special friend, James Beson Sr.; two sisters, Charity Sharrow and Ruth Soto and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mercy Gillespie was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Anthony Gillespie. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Rhodabarger. Private inurnment will take place privately in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 3:00 p.m. and until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America in memory of her son Brian Gillespie.
