Mildred Grace Howey

Millie passed away Thursday evening, September 24, 2015 at Forest Edge Family Home, AFC. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late Thorval and Grace (Graham) Knudson was born March 21, 1932 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Before moving to Lapeer for her family to care for her, due to her health, she attended the former Christ United Methodist Church in Bay City which is now Grace Church. While living in Bay City Millie was last employed at Menard's. Millie enjoyed hunting and was a volunteer for Bay County Division on Aging.
Left to cherish Millie's memories are her children; Tracy Lynn (a.k.a. Mildred) (Paul) Garza, James H. (Linda) Carr, Anthony (Anita) Carr, Carolyn (John Fortin) Carr, Lester (Nancy Jean) Carr, John M. (Dorothy LaSalle) Carr, Colleen (Clay) McGee, Ermajune Marie (Richard) Henshaw, sixteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, her sister; Wanda Puckett, two nieces; Wendy and Tina. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Charles J. "Chick" Howey and five brothers.
Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Temple with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Sunday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
