Miles Edgar Nord Bay City, Michigan Miles Edgar Nord, age 97 years, passed away at Bay Shores Care Facility. He was born in Bay City on December 22, 1915 and had resided in Bay City and Flint area all of his life. Mr. Nord was retired (1976) after 37 years of service at Consumers Power Company (Consumer Energy) as an operations supervisor. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Mr. Nord served as a member of United Commercial Travelers (UCT), Elks Lodge 88, Moose Lodge 169 and was a loan officer for the Consumer Power Company Community Credit Union for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bernice Elaine (Gerry), whom he married on July 30, 1940. Surviving are his children Judy Harman (Ludy) of Chesterfield, MO, Janice Nord of Sunnyvale, CA, Donna Ketterlin of Dallas, TX, 2 grandchildren; Brett Harman of O'Fallon, MO and Austin Ketterlin of Dallas, TX. his sister Carol Berns of Burton, MI, his brother Norman Nord of Davenport, IA and special friend Toni Kloha. Preceded in death by parents Axel and Agnes (Peterson) Nord, his sisters Linnea Kelly, Eleanore O'Callahan and brothers; Art, Glenn, George and Lennart Nord are all deceased. At the request of Mr. Nord cremation has taken place. The Nord family would like to thank the staff at Bay Shores Care Facility and the Dennis Kloha family for their loving care and support. There will be a private inurnment at Floral Garden Cemetery.
