Mitchell Andrew Grinenk

Grinenk, Mitchell Andrew Grand Blanc, Michigan (Formerly of Standish/Swartz Creek) Mr. Grinenk passed away early Saturday morning September 6, 2014 at Cartel Inns of Linden, Linden, Michigan. Age 82 years. The son of the late Albert Andrew and Anastasia (Mitzyk) Greniuk he was born April 4, 1932 in Standish, Michigan. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton and retired from General Motors Co. On November 23, 1957 he was united in marriage to the former Phyllis M. Maturen in Saginaw, Michigan and she preceded him in death on March 28, 2005. He is survived by his children; Mark A. (Angela) Grinenk of Santa Clarita, CA, Karen Grinenk of Clio, Melanie Grinenk and two grandchildren; Mark E. and Bridget Grinenk. He is also survived by three sisters; Mary Butch, Jane Kotz and Teofila "Phyllis" Thorner, one sister-in-law; Judy Greniuk and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers-in-law; Albina and Walter Kotz, Stephen Butch, Frank Kotz and Donald Thorner Sr. and one brother; Albert Greniuk Sr. A Memorial Mass was celebrated Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton, MI. Celebrant was Rev. Fr. Dwight M. Ezop with the United States Army and the Fenton VFW conducting military honors. Arrangements we entrusted to the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services 201 W.
