Monica D. Rowell

Monica D. Rowell, of Auburn, passed away Saturday May 21, 2011 at Brian's House, age 55. The daughter of the late Stanley & Margaret (Turmell) Wasek, she was born September 14, 1955 in Bay City. Monica loved being on the open road on the back of a Harley. She also enjoyed camping and gardening and loved spending time with her mother. Monica is survived by her four children, Jesse (Kathy) Rowell of Clawson, Craig (Sarah) Rowell, Kyle Rowell and Stacey (Chris Goulet) Rowell all of Bay City; her fiancé David Rowell; six brothers and two sisters, Paul (Diane) Wasek of Auburn, Thomas Wasek of Midland, Arthur (Paula) Wasek of Traverse City, Clare (Debra) Wasek of Bay City, Gerard (Lucy) Wasek of Auburn, Margaret Ann (Calvin) Gray of Malakoff, Texas, Richard Wasek of Auburn and Christine (Charles) Plessner of Midland; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Besides her parents, Monica was also preceded in death by one brother, Gregory Wasek; and her children's father, George Rowell, III. The funeral service will take place at 6:00pm on Monday May 23, 2011 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Chaplain Errol Wood. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00 to 6:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House or the wishes of the family.
